Anthony Loke, the Transport Minister of Malaysia, has stated that there are no immediate plans to make the installation of dash cam mandatory for all vehicles. However, he strongly encourages all drivers to consider installing dash cam in their vehicles for their own safety and the safety of others on the road.
He said if the government pushes forward with the proposal, it is expected to cause public backlash as it involves additional costs.
